Partway there… And a bit closer
Update 5/15a: Content mashing looks good, but there’s some circular links. Sorry about that, will fix in the next few days!!
Update: 5/15 I have uploaded the content from joustingwarhorse.com as a test and will be further integrating our other equine-related sites into this one, assuming it all works out.
For those who have seen on facebook, we’ve had some hardware challenges on our website server, and yours truly is in the process of rebuilding it more or less from content backups. Many of the tabs don’t work yet because I don’t have their configurations uploaded yet… but I’m getting there :=)
Thanks in advance for your patience.

Lily-16+h 2002 Hanoverian-TB Mare
Lily is a fun, forward mare with a cuddly and loving personality! She has a beautiful face, clean legs and great conformation. In the short time she has been with us, Lily has made progress in basic dressage, exhibited a talent for jumping, and gained a love of trail riding. She recently participated in her first foxhunt and was a superstar! She galloped like a dream on the runs, stood on a loose rein at the checks, and kept her wits when hounds and huntsmen ran past. We have only brushed the surface of Lily’s abilities and potential!
Lily was a beloved pleasure horse in her “past life.” She is free from blemishes or unsoundness. She stands quietly for the vet and farrier, for clippers, for baths, or just to be loved on in the aisle or stall. Lily loads and unloads willingly from both a straight and slant-load trailer.
Lily is a granddaughter of the great French distance stallion, Val de l’Orne. I was told by a pedigree expert that Val de l’Orne’s is “one of the best TB jumping lines in existence, and has been for at least 4 generations of sires. ”
This video clip shows Lily’s first free jumping school, and first time tackling an in-and-out. I loved watching her figure things out, experiment with the striding, and learn to use her body in new, more powerful ways. The geldings watching from the pasture were certainly impressed
She cleared each fence eagerly and effortlessly, promising a great future over fences. Currently asking $5500, price will increase with training.

From Samantha Stilley in Harpers Ferry, WV
Hi Kirsten it’s Sam Stilley from yesterday.
I just wanted to thank you so much for your help with Leo. I worked with him again today and he was phenomenal! It took him less then ten minutes to load into the open trailer, then less than five more minutes after that to load into it with the one side closed. He even self loaded for me twice! By the end of our hour long session he had loaded multiple times and the last time he walked right in like a champ with no hesitations and no pauses what so ever! I think within a few more practices he will be loading this way every time and will self-load in no time as well! He is so calm and comfortable in the trailer as well which is something I never thought would come this soon. I was able to load him, give him some treats and love, and then walk away from him to shut him in and close the rear bar all on my own! He never even got uncomfortable or tried to back out when I left his side to walk around and shut him in. I feel like your training method really clicked with him, and for me too! Now I can be excited about taking him places and not worry about how I’m going to get him there and home safely. Thanks again so much and I’ll keep you updated on his progress.
Sam
2nd Update & progress report!!!:
Hi again! Just thought you might like to know that I practiced with Leo for about 15mins today and he probably loaded over 8 times in that time span! He is really doing better and better every day and is almost pulling me to the trailer when he sees the ramp is down. Thanks again so much!

Free Jumping Days
Jumping at liberty is our favorite way to start horses over fences. They learn so much and so quickly without the riders weight or unintentional interference. Plus, it gives us a chance to evaluate their innate athleticism, form, courage and cattiness. We can create a custom training program armed with this insight into each equine’s potential as a future hunter, jumper or event horse. Click on each photo to see that horse’s webpage. Watch for upcoming video uploads!

Used Bates Caprilli Close Contact Saddle for sale. Rare-Flocked panels!
This is a used Bates Caprilli Close Contact Saddle. I had the CAIR panels replaced with Flocked panels, and love the results! Not all horses respond well to the CAIR panels, so the flocking is a great, and RARE, alternative. I have ridden in this saddle just a few times since I got it reflocked and one time it was squeaky. The saddler assured me the tree is sound. I am assuming the squeak will disappear altogether with use.
It has a 16 1/2 ” seat and long flaps ideal for longer legged riders. It has the adjustable gullet system, with the white-extra wide gullet currently installed. It is in good used condition- I rode it to several year-end high point horse show titles last year. It has a great “bomber jacket” type patina which seems to “absorb” scratches and dings.
I am asking $1000.oo or best reasonable offer.

Dominus Close Contact Saddle Wide Tree, Long Flap
17 1/2″ Dominus Close Contact Saddle, wide tree, and long flap. These saddles were designed by Peter Menet, who is the maker of Amerigo saddles, before Dominus was bought out. It has both knee and thigh blocks, and air flow knee rolls. Has slight discoloration on seat which is not visible with a rider in the saddle. Missing one billet guard. This saddle allows a correct, secure position without locking the rider into place. Asking $850 or best reasonable offer.

Crosby Dressage Saddle, “Robert Dover” Freestyle II For Sale
This is a wonderful, old style Crosby Dover Freestyle II. It has a 17 1/2″ seat, medium tree that fits very generously, more like a medium wide, and narrow twist. The molded flap and concealed thigh blocks allow you to sustain a correct, effective seat and close feel without locking you in place like so many modern, overpadded saddles. Slightly forward flaps accommodate the long-legged rider.
Saddle is in good used condition. Stitching is tight, leather is soft and conditioned. The panels are soft, smooth and even.

There are some minor scratches and markings on the back of the cantle from old nameplates. The seat shows some discoloration, which is not evident when you are riding, as do the underside of the sweat flaps. All of the marks are cosmetic and don’t affect the function or comfort of the saddle at all.
Billets are nylon reinforced with leather stitched on either side. There is one section that has loose stitching, though still perfectly safe and not stretched due to the nylon.
The tree is sound and the billets are tight, the saddle is ready to ride and certainly clean enough for showing.
I am asking $850 or best reasonable offer.

Bond Street All Purpose Adjustable Saddle For Sale
Used 17″ Bond Street all-purpose saddle in great condition. Tree is solid and the stitching tight. There are a few scratches in the leather which are not noticeable unless you are very close. Any discoloration in the photos is due to Leather Therapy that hadn’t yet been fully absorbed.
Bond Street saddles are unique in 2 ways. One is the memory foam seat and panels, which offer unparalleled comfort to both horse and rider. The other is the adjustable tree, which offers a custom fit with the turn of an allen wrench. Solve the problem of sore backs or hard to fit horses.
This saddle was $2500 new. They are now called Cynron saddles, and sell for over $4000. I am asking $1200 or best reasonable offer.
